Solution

So yes.. It has been some time since I posted. Mother's Day ended up not being the best of times. It is rough when your relationship with your mother is non existent and you relationship with in laws has a weird strain, yet hopefully mendable, as well. No true time for me, and I don't usually want or make time for me, but I was trying harder to make that day a little more peaceful for myself with everything I've got going on. Maybe a favorite food of mine on the menu or one of my comedic classics playing in the background. FAIL LOL! I'm a mother but for some reason mother in laws and mothers and grandmothers, and aunts and great aunts from all walks of life come before us Millennial mamas do! LOL! But with so much tension going on in my mixed up day to day, I want to do nothing more than to run and hide...

Solution time for me is baking soooooo... hehe!

I applied for the great American baking show holiday competition! Woohoo! (hold for applause...-_-) I honestly had no intention on sharing this news but at the end of the application there was a prompt to share on social media. I figured instead of using Zuckerberg to share I’d use my own!

So yea I’ve been sitting at home dreaming and longing from my couch and kitchen to be on the Great British baking show but after a little research I realized I was not applicable due to my residence. I honestly considered moving for quite some time… we still may. Anyway they started do the American holiday baking show! They didn’t have Mary Berry but they do have Paul Hollywood and Baby Spice!!! Which is PERFECTION to me. (HUGE SPICE GIRLS FAN, had all the trading cards, chupa chups lollies, albums galore, omg the movie lol!, who's with me?) AND DEAR PAUL, Those stark steel blue eyes are mesmerizing. Truly piercing into your soul gazing upon your pastry just knowing you have a soggy bottom before he cuts into it. FEAR, ADRENALINE, CRAFT, & ART all combined into a modge-podge of delicious competition! I’m here for it sign me up.. well I did sign up so yea… I was motivated to apply (even though I’m a couple days late and will probably never get it lol) after creating this blog. Being able to express myself now is quite empowering. I am not as outspoken as I should be in person but this is beginning to help me grow. So I figured why not keep stepping outside of my box and apply for some baking or cooking competitions. I’m on a mission to apply my little apron away lmao.

Some of my daily bakes this past couple weeks, I actually have been busy even though a little down in the dumps. But I'm back hehe!!

Not every bake was amazeballs to look at🤣 hehehe!! but PRACTICE makes perfect and my taste testers didn't mind at all because my flavors are always on point!!!! So modest V! ✨
